“THE BUSH WAS BLAZING”

In Chapter 3 of Exodus, Moses was minding his own business, or rather his father-in-law’s flock. Then, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a burning bush. Moses turned to see why the bush was not consumed—it kept burning, much like at my husband’s fire pit. Seeing that he had Moses’ attention, God called him by name and Moses answered, “Here I am.”

In my book Pray for Guidance, I suggest keeping track of how God catches your attention. Use paper or whatever technology you prefer.

How does God try to yet your attention? What is the burning bush in your wilderness? What makes you turn aside?
