“LET THERE BE LIGHT”

Early one morning, I needed more light in my writer’s corner, so I pushed open the curtains. Crash! The curtain rod bracket snapped and the curtains fell down. Suddenly, there was light. Almost too much light from the just-risen sun.

Our planet earth is solar powered. At the bottom of the food chain, plants need light for photosynthesis to work in order for them to grow. At the top, human beings need sunlight.

Vitamin D is a star nutrient these days, as research links it to numerous health benefits. Studies suggest vitamin D may go beyond its well-established role in bone health and reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and more.

What makes vitamin D unique is that it is a vitamin and also a hormone your body can make from the sun.

And, of course, we need to light to see. Can you imagine a world without the sun?

Just as important, we need God to illuminate our lives. To show us the way. How has God been showing you the way?
